Pro Rata is a term that Washington uses in determining each parent’s support obligation. For example, if you're combined net income is ten thousand dollars and one spouse contributes 7,000 of that, the other spouse contributes 3,000 - the Pro Rata share is a 70/30 split. So let's say for example the total support for one child is one thousand dollars then each party is responsible for their Pro Rata share --70 percent and 30 percent.
