Is dating after a divorce different from dating the first time out? According to relationship experts, there are a number of big differences when you return to the dating world after your marriage has ended.

One of the largest differences, experts say, is that you should ask the big questions earlier – questions regarding kids, religion, finances, career, and marriage. In many cases, a person who has recently gone through a divorce has a better idea of what they want out of life and of what they will and will not sacrifice in their future. Make sure the person you are dating knows early on what these things are.

Another large difference about dating after a divorce could be the complication of kids in the picture – both for you and the person you are dating. While you don’t want to introduce your date to your kids too early, you also need to get an idea of what your potential mate thinks about welcoming and caring for your family if things were to get serious.
