Seattle-Produced Domestic Violence Documentary Plays At Seattle Center

Seattle Center's McCaw Hall hosted a free showing of a documentary focused on domestic violence in Washington State – a film that was produced by a Seattle man, created by a Washington domestic abuse nonprofit organization, and features King County Senior Deputy Prosecutor Gary Ernsdorff and Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna

Shout. The Story of Domestic Violence examines the complex issue of domestic violence in Washington State, lending the viewpoints of abuse victims, WA police, King County lawmakers, counselors, and shelter workers. The Seattle man who produced the film lost a sister to a domestic violence murder-suicide almost a decade ago and hopes the film will spread awareness.

The free screening was also made possible by the Domestic Abuse Women’s Network (DAWN), a nonprofit located in Tukwila, Washington, and Session 7 Media of Seattle. Those interested in purchasing a DVD of the domestic violence documentary may contact DAWN.
