Lynnwood Man Allegedly Beaten By Wife And Son In Domestic Violence Assault

Posted on May 29, 2011

A Lynnwood woman and her adult son have been charged with first-degree domestic violence assault and first-degree robbery after allegedly beating a man with a baseball bat and wrench while he slept in his home.

According to the man, he filed for a divorce from his wife of 20 years, 53-year-old Debra Glenn, just weeks ago. He also obtained a protection order against his wife and her son, 35-year-old Jacob Warner, saying that the pair were involved in drugs and could potentially harm him and the couple’s other son.

On April 11, Lynnwood Police believe that Glenn and Warner did just that. According to evidence, it appears that mother and son broke into the man’s home and began to strike him with a baseball bat as he slept. The man broke free of the pair, locked himself in the bathroom, and called 911. Police found meth on Glenn the day after the attack as well as bank cards in her husband’s name that he reported missing from the house.

Glenn, who has served prison time in the past for robbery, said that she did not commit the crimes and that her husband was lying about the event. She also claimed that she and her son did not use illegal drugs. During her last trial, Glenn’s attorney argued that Glenn suffers from some mental health conditions and was not taking her medication at the time of the crime.

Her husband has been released from the hospital with stitches for his head wound.
