It Is National Child Custody Awareness Week

This week, November 29 through December 5, is National Child Custody Awareness week. During the week, family law experts hope that parents and children work together to approach child custody in a healthy, holistic way. Instead of approaching child custody from one angle, custody experts urge families to realize that there are many important facets of a successful joint parenting plan, including legal considerations, financial considerations, strong communication, and emotional wellness. In addition, they stress the importance of a support network for both the children going through their parents’ breakup and the parents themselves.

Especially around the holidays, it is important to reflect on child custody, how it has affected your family, and what you can do to make certain your kids are happy, healthy, and have a strong relationship with both of their parents if possible.
