Tatyana received her B.S., cum laude from the University of Washington in 1999 and her J.D., from the University of Washington School of Law in 2002. Washington Law & Politics magazine has selected Tatyana as a "Rising Star" for four consecutive years, from 2009 through 2012. Tatyana practices in the areas of Family Law and Employment Law.
Family Law: In her years of practice, Tatyana has handled every aspect of family law, including complex divisions of property, maintenance, parenting plans (including modifications and child relocations), child support, division of business assets, claims of meretricious relationships, prosecution and defense of restraining orders, domestic violence protection orders, and anti-harassment orders, and preparation and negotiation of prenuptial and other relationship agreements.
Tatyana is experienced in alternative dispute resolution, from negotiating a settlement to representing clients in formal mediation and arbitration.
Tatyana is highly cognizant of the toll a contested family law matter can take on the client and strives to achieve an out-of-court resolution of the conflict. However, an out-of-court settlement is not always possible. Tatyana has litigated numerous contentious divorces and has successfully represented clients in family law hearings and trials. Tatyana has also handled a number of interstate and international divorces involving complex jurisdictional and conflict of laws issues. She has a special interest in representing clients in international legal disputes.
Employment Law: Tatyana Gidirimski counsels both employers and employees on various employment law issues, including employee handbooks and personnel procedures and manuals, discipline and discharge, wage and hour issues, employment and independent contractors agreements, severance agreements, non-competition agreements, and other subjects. In her employment advisory work, Tatyana strives to minimize the risk of litigation and to provide her clients practical answers allowing them to make sound decisions consistent with their business objectives.
In the employment litigation arena, Tatyana handles a wide variety of matters, including workplace discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment and wrongful discharge cases, breach of employment agreements, trade secrets, and wage and hour disputes.
