Kate grew up in Bellevue.  After graduating from Interlake High School, she clicked her heels three times and attended the University of Kansas, where she participated in the Honors Program and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  Upon graduating summa cum laude from Kansas, Kate returned to the Northwest and attended law school at the University of Washington.

Throughout law school, Kate interned with King County Superior Court Judge Mary I. Yu, the King County Family Law Facilitator’s Office, and University of Washington Student Legal Services.  During these internships, Kate discovered her passion for helping people navigate challenging family law matters. 

After graduating law school, Kate was an associate at a large Bellevue law firm.  She practiced in the areas of business law, general civil litigation, and family law.  Kate was excited to join the Law Offices of Molly B. Kenny in January 2012 and is now focusing her practice on family law and estate planning.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for high conflict family law cases, trail running with her dogs Scout and Kip, and baking pies.
