Heidi Klum and Seal Announce Divorce After Seven Years of Marriage

After years as a one of the country’s hottest celebrity couples, supermodel Heidi Klum and pop star Seal have announced that they will seek a divorce after seven years of marriage.

According to national news sources, trouble for the couple started late last summer during a trip to Ibiza in which Seal reportedly spent significant time away from the family and at social events. One source reported that Heidi no longer wanted to manage her husband’s partying ways and temper.

The couple released a joint statement saying that they had grown apart despite seven years of a loving and loyal marriage. The statement went on to say that the separation would be an amicable one and that their children’s wellbeing was the primary concern of both parties. The statement ends by requesting privacy for the sake of their children.

Seal has made several media appearances since the separation announcement to promote his new album, where he discussed his ongoing love for Klum and the tough time they were having. Both are still wearing their wedding rings, and there are some rumors that the couple may yet get back together before a divorce is finalized.

The couple was married in Mexico in 2005 and had three children together – 6-year-old Henry, five-year-old Johan, and two-year-old Lou. In addition, the couple has raised Klum’s oldest daughter, seven-year-old Leni. Seal’s new album, Soul 2, was released this winter.
