Nancy Wilson, half of the Seattle rock duo Heart, has filed for divorce from long-time husband and film director Cameron Crowe. Wilson, who said that her separation began in the summer of 2008, filed for divorce in Los Angeles last month citing irreconcilable differences as the cause.
Wilson, who sang hit singles “These Dreams,” “Crazy on You,” and “Stranded,” in the Seattle-based rock band Heart with her sister Anne in the 1970s, had been married to Crowe for 22 years. The couple has twin 10-year-old boys, William and Curtis.
Wilson is seeking joint physical and legal custody of her two boys in the Hollywood divorce. She is also seeking spousal support from her husband, who has directed a number of films including
Jerry Maguire,
Say Anything, and
Almost Famous. Finally, she will restore her maiden name.
The couple met when Crowe was a writer and editor at
Rolling Stone magazine.
