Ms. Wilkerson was raised in North Carolina and Georgia, but moved to the west coast after high school.  She never regretted that decision.

Ms. Wilkerson received her B.A. in 1995 from the University of California, Santa Cruz,   and her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara (California) University School of Law in 2000. 

Ms. Wilkerson practiced law in California for six years.  As a Deputy Public Defender for the Humboldt County (California), she represented criminal defendants on various types of misdemeanor cases.  Ms. Wilkerson completed approximately 20 jury trials and represented clients in every phase of litigation from arraignment to post-sentence appeal.  She continued her civil and criminal practice at Schwartz & Cera, LLP, in San Francisco.

She then received her Idaho Bar license in September 2006.  As “Of Counsel” Attorney with the Wilson Law Firm in Bonners Ferry, Idaho from October 2006 through August 2009 Ms. Wilkerson worked primarily in family law, but also established an active estate planning and probate practice. 

Ms. Wilkerson is licensed in Washington, Idaho, and California (currently inactive).
